    This connects the special thing we know about frequent-smokers (they have the most common form of CYP2A6) to the trigger we have that leads to more smoking (faster elimination of nicotine from the body). (by the way, this question does an astoundingly good job at making us think we read "Smokers whose bodies make the most of this enzyme". I read it that way the first time I did this problem, and I just read it that way again. I'm not sure how they're doing it, but I just read over "most common form" and think it's about quantity of CYP2A6, rather than the specific form of CYP2A6. I had already written the explanation incorrectly when I got to the answers and finally noticed my mistake)

    We don't want an answer talking about people who don't smoke. We're trying to explain why "most common form of CYP2A6" and "smoke the most" are correlated.
